Thermal distribution
Since the formation of macro shrinkage or bulk shrinkage cavities is closely related to the temperature and solid fraction distribution in the casting, tracking isotherms and isochrones in the solidifying casting offers a first estimate of the size and location of shrinkage defects
By mapping the isotherms from a thermal model of a casting at different stages during solidification, sections of the casting which freeze last can be identified.
The way the heat flows across the casting and die surface directly affects the evolution of solidification

SUTCAST can predict thermal distributation i.e. the distribution of temperture within casting and mold during solidification.
Our post processing software that is included with our package will display results including animated thermal distribution of both cast and moldÂ
